About the Fane Foot Orthotics Clinics

Stephen Pinning, Director of the Clinic is a Podiatrist and Biomechanical Consultant. The Orthotics Clinic was set up specifically to tackle the need for relief of pain caused and associated with imbalance of body posture, and to supply quality prescription orthoses.

It is our belief that as a medical device an orthotic can only be a prescription product not something off the shelf that fits all.

Stephen Pinning, Director of the Clinic is a Podiatrist, a Fellow of the School of Surgical Chiropody a member of the British Chiropody and Podiatry Association, and has a Diploma in Podiatric Medicine. He is registered with the Health Professions Council and has a particular interest in Biomechanics and Musculoskeletal problems.

Stephen is also a member of the North East branch of British Chiropody and Podiatry Association and regularly attends seminars and provides lectures to continually develop professional knowledge.

Adrian Woolley, Director of the Clinic is a Sports Therapist and Biomechanical Consultant. Trained at the Sports for England Medical and Science Department at Lilleshall.

Adrian has a wealth of experience including working in professional football and lecturing on the treatment and management of injuries.

A specialist in Remedial Massage and rehabilitation exercise programs, with his hands on approach Adrian offers invaluable advice to the Clinic’s clients.   

The clinics client list includes professional footballers and rugby players, county cricketers, an England international cross country runner, an international BMX rider, an ex-England international hockey player as well as many talented amateur marathon runners, golfers and sports men and women from many other sports disciplines.

We are particularly proud of our work with children. It is extremely rewarding to receive a child, which presents with postural and biomechanical problems at maybe three or four years old who, with our orthotic assistance, develops into a happy, healthy and active teenager.

We are also pleased to improve the quality of life and alleviate many painful conditions in the adult population, who have often suffered in some cases for years and have regularly sought treatment from various medical disciplines without success.
